Privacy

Strata stores your account email and display name, and the field notes, coordinates, specimen details and photos you choose to save. These records are private to your account.

Google sign-in uses your Google account identifier, verified email and name. Strata does not request access to Gmail, Drive or other Google content. Email registration stores a salted password hash, never your original password.

An essential session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out invalidates that session. Map and language preferences are stored on your device.

Cloudflare hosts the application, account database and photo storage. Map tiles and geological data come from the providers listed in Data sources; requests to these services may include the area you are viewing. Location access is requested only when you use the location control.

You can delete your saved fieldbook entries in the application. Signing out does not delete saved records.
